Finally!!!!!!!
The semester is over. It was over the last Thursday but I was a bit busy with shopping and cleaning.
I went to Chinook for a while and went to a restaurant which is one of my favourites in Calgary.
I've been just chilling at home because it is freaking cold outside. I know Canada is supposed to be a cold country but this is too much.
And some of the final grades have been updated. I manually calculated what I got, and I think I would get four A+s and one A. But the good thing is both A+ and A are 4.0 in the GPA system. So I think I can get 4.0/4.0.
I will update my LinkedIn profile to add my GPA if I see it with my eyes.
I would be so excited and happy.
This year is another year that a lot of things have happened to me.
I left BMO in January. I had worked at BMO since 2019 in Winnipeg. So it was almost three years and I quit.
And I started working at an accounting firm as a temporary accounting technician. I was able to learn a lot about taxes and bookkeeping. And the wage that I got there was the highest in entire my life so far. I also wrote Audit and Assurance second exam in February 2022. I couldn't pass it last year so I had to re-write it again this year and passed. Then, I was able to enroll in CPA PEP finally.
I started studying CPE PEP Core 1 in April this year and passed with quite good scores. I was really surprised because, for some reason, I thought I would fail. But I passed!!!
However, I didn't enjoy it that much and couldn't find a job. I had an opportunity to have an interview with Alberta Health Services as an articling student but I didn't even take the interview because I thought I could not get the job and already decided to go to school.
So, even though I passed Core 1, I decided to stop studying CPA and go to SAIT to study something else. I thought about going for a business program first, but I thought it was just a waste of my time and money. For this reason, I picked the software development program.
The semester started in September. I was really nervous and a bit intimidated before going to school. It was my first time going to a school in Canada. But I guess I did quite well. My grades are the proof and I met some good friends.
Also, I travelled, too. I went to Vancouver for three days with my husband and went to Quebec City and Montreal for about a week also with my husband. I travelled to the West and the East. One day, if I make quite good money, I would like to travel often with my husband. It is always fun!
There are still a few days left in this year. Hoping I would enjoy with my husband and have an amazing 2023.
